Ronald M. Redick

Attorney Grand Rapids, MI

I enjoy serving townships and other local government units because they are so responsive to and connected with their citizens. It is rewarding to help them solve their legal challenges, and to assist them in providing important public services to their communities, whether it be essential services like sewer and water, or recreational amenities like parks and bike paths. Also, given that Michigan is blessed with so many wonderful water resources, I am enthusiastic about riparian rights and other aspects of water rights law. I find it greatly satisfying to help clients understand and protect these important property rights.

I not only practice local government law, I also enjoy giving back to my community by serving as a local government official. I served as a township planning commission member for 15 years, including 13 years as chair, and I was an elected township trustee from 2015 through 2024, while also serving as chair of my township’s Parks & Rec Committee, and as my townships’s representative on the board of the Northwest Ottawa Recreational Authority.  I now serve as general counsel for my township.  I am a life-long resident of the lakeshore community of Grand Haven, and enjoy boating, fly fishing and the many other outdoor recreational opportunities West Michigan has to offer. You can find me with my wife and my best friend (my dog Charlie!) on the water most every summer weekend.
