Over the years, I’ve had a number of clients tell me that they see me as an engineer who also happens to have a law degree. I take that as a compliment. I have made it a point to learn and understand the science and engineering behind the matters I handle, and I truly believe that understanding is essential in presenting the big picture to my clients, not just abstract legal principles.
In my leisure time, I enjoy golf, cycling, and kayaking, both with friends and my own kids. I read both fiction and non-fiction and have served for ten years as the board president of American Nepali Students’ & Women’s Educational Relief (ANSWER), a non-profit dedicated to educating poor and low caste children in Nepal. And yes, I have been to Kathmandu and have seen Mt. Everest, but have no interest in climbing it!
