On November 7, 2018, Nikole Canute was quoted in MLive’s article, “What happens now that marijuana is legalized.” In the article, Nikole stated that “Proposal 1 does not prohibit employers from having a zero-tolerance policy.” She added that companies can still fire employees for marijuana use if a drug test comes back positive.
