On October 29, Ron Redick was interviewed by Wood TV reporter, Marvis Herring, regarding Proposal 1 that would legalize recreational marijuana. Ron explained that many municipalities have contacted the firm regarding Proposal 1, as they are concerned about what local regulation they will be allowed to have if Proposal 1 is passed. He added that if voters legalize recreational marijuana, municipalities have the right to “opt out” and they can also charge marijuana businesses an administrative fee of up to $5,000. Ron added that it is a change from medical marijuana facility regulations, as municipalities had to “opt in” to participate in that.
