Jennifer Puplava Appointed as Chair of State Bar of Michigan Intellectual Property Law Section
Firm attorney and member Jennifer Puplava was recently appointed Chair of the State Bar of Michigan Intellectual Property Law Section, a statewide organization dedicated to advancing . professional development and public awareness regarding patent, trademark, copyright, and related intellectual property issues. The Intellectual Property Law Section provides education, information, and analysis on intellectual property issues through seminars, publications, networking opportunities, public service initiatives, and member resources throughout Michigan.
Jennifer counsels clients on a wide range of intellectual property matters, including the selection, protection, registration, licensing, and enforcement of trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets, and other proprietary rights. She works with municipalities, educational institutions, and private businesses of all sizes to identify and protect valuable intellectual property assets and to address the legal and business issues associated with their creation, use, licensing, and protection. In addition to her intellectual property practice, Jennifer advises clients on technology, data privacy, cybersecurity, and information governance matters. She regularly assists her clients with technology transactions, privacy compliance, data governance initiatives, and responses to cybersecurity incidents.
